Cross-platform, based on state-of-the-art technology

Toepark is a hybrid application we built for the Flemish government to visualise all the parking spots available for disabled people. Via the mobile app or the responsive website, they can easily explore parking spots. At this moment, the app and the website contain nearly 16 000 parking spots.

The Challenge

Building a responsive website and a native application for iOS and Android devices for people with a disability, so that they can search for parking spaces reserved for them at their destination in Flanders.

The Solution

Toepark is a responsive website that uses Google Maps to locate  parking spots, based on points of interest and to visualize them. By wrapping the result in PhoneGap, we made the website available as a native app on multiple platforms.

Once you have entered a destination, the Toepark application gives users a list of all the parking spaces reserved for disabled people in that specific area. Users also get directions to the reserved parking they select and are able to save the location where they want to park. If the parking space appears to be occupied, users can easily look for other reserved placed in the area.
